Soul Exchange

Hey, everyone, the collection is no longer anonymous! Sorry for the delay; I've had a really hectic week for non-Soul Exchange-related reasons. Thanks so much for bearing with me.

If you haven't already, go take a look at the collection. Leave kudos and comments -- especially comments!

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable exchange period. I'm not certain yet whether or not I'll run the exchange again next year; it'll mostly depend on my schedule.

All of the pinch hits have been completed, so we are on track to open the collection in two hours.

Thank you so much to all of you who fulfilled your assignments, and to those of you who picked up those needy pinch hits. Also, I would like to thank those of you who defaulted before the default deadline; it sounds weird, but defaulting earlier rather than later really does help the challenge run more smoothly.

One final tip: If you fulfilled your assignment a while ago, you may want to consider re-dating your work, since Ao3 will post it with whatever date you initially uploaded it on. All you have to do is edit the work and change the Posting Date to today. This way, people browsing your fandom's tag will be able to see your work near the top of the page. Not mandatory, just something you may want to do to increase your hits.

A last-last-minute pinch hitter is needed due to a last-minute pinch hitter failing to turn in their assignment.

Since I'll be heading to bed soon, I may not reply to your claim right away. I would recommend beginning your work as soon as possible even if I haven't replied to you yet.

If you're going to be MIA for at least a day or two after the collection opens (which will hopefully be on June 10), you may (optionally) leave a comment here to let your gifter know.

The posting deadline has passed. Most people already have their assignments in (hurray!). Of those who don't, about half are either last-minute pinch hitters (who have a deadline of June 8) or have personally emailed me requesting extensions. I'll be contacting the remaining gifters, and if I don't hear back from them by tomorrow afternoon, I'll forcibly default them and put their assignments out as pinch hits.

The collection reveal should be in one week, on June 10 (assuming nothing goes catastrophically pear-shaped).

First of all, we still need a taker for pinch hit #12. Your work will be due June 8. Please go take a look! Nevermind!

Second, for everyone except for those who took the recent pinch hits, your posting deadline is in less than 24 hours: 11:59 PM UTC today, June 3. If you don't think you'll have your assignment done by then, please email me at soulexchange@gmx.com to work something out.

Third, due to the last-minute pinch hits and my failure to accommodate for them in scheduling, I've decided that the work reveals date will be pushed back to June 10. I'm really sorry that I didn't consider this before, but this should give everyone the buffer they need for finishing pinch hits and making last-minute tweaks to their assignments.
